“We are what we eat” and now we know with current research how food plays an important role in how we feel everyday especially when we have a pathology. New research into chronic pain has taught us more about what pain is, how the body is designed to heal itself, and how inflammation is linked to chronic pain and the majority of non-communicable diseases.
Proper nutrition – knowing what patients should eat and what they should avoid, to resolve the root cause of their pain – is the biggest key to addressing inflammation.

What is functional nutrition? It is an evidence-based approach for patients that present with pain that takes into consideration:

1) Nutrition
2) Gut health
3) The microbiome
4) Gut-brain connection
5) Gut-immune connection
6) Overall Food sensitivity
